Title: Founder & CEO
Bio:
A native of Haiti, Jean Paul arrived in the United States in 2004 with a suitcase and a dream to excel. Since his arrival, he has taken charge of his academic and professional development while remaining committed to achieving his dream. Though faced with the challenges of living in an unfamiliar culture, Jean Paul was empowered by the values of hard work and discipline with which he was raised. Jean Paul founded the Unspoken Smiles Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide a solution to two critical issues: poor oral health, particularly in children; and inadequate access to viable career and earning opportunities for women in developing countries. Jean Paul's strong leadership and successful track record for delivery of care have attracted pro-bono sponsors who partner with him to help the children. Jean Paul's philanthropic achievements have garnered recognition from a variety of prestigious organizations, including The United Nations Youth Assembly, American Express Leadership Academy, Ashoka Changemakers, The Resolution Project, and The Clinton Global Initiative University. He has been honored with a prestigious Professionalism Award from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2011, and recognized as the Dental Professional of The Year 2015 by the Creative Dental Connections, and was recently awarded the President Obama's Volunteer Service Award 2016. Jean Paul holds an Executive Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University School of International and currently live in New York. For fun you can always find him at a ballroom room dance competition.
