The Yushu Rivers School is a pilot ecotourism training course in Qinghai Province that will help launch a new tourism product in the region devastated by the April, 2010 earthquake. The multi-function school will build guide skills and forge links between river communities, tourism officials, and domestic tourist markets.
China Rivers Project organizes education-oriented trips on some of China’s most biologically and culturally rich rivers. Many of these places are currently under threat by dams and other development projects. By getting folks out in boats, we are rapidly growing awareness of China's scenic rivers and why they are important to people and wildlife.
