I started a non-profit organization called the Childrey Deliverance Foundation to help change the economic devastation caused by the financial and foreclosure crises which has left thousands of businesses and homes in dilapidated conditions and the homeowners-Homeless!
I feel a fondness for the City of Detroit in the State of Michigan. I moved there Twelve Years ago from Kalamazoo Michigan to attend Wayne State University. Eventually, I purchased a (HUD) foreclosure home and rehabilitated it with the help of my Grand Mother.
I want to make change the low cost housing market in the city of Detroit to alleviate the economic distress of the city. I believe this can be done by building a Mega Financial Opportunity center in Detroit Mi.
Our mission is to mentor/counsel individuals on the importance of education in relation to job placement and personal economics (credit). Our organization provides the most comprehensive employment enhancement and financial literacy/credit repair courses to bring our clients to self-sufficiency.
Credit is a tool to be used properly. The key goal is not to destroy your credit from the beginning of starting your credit history. If a client happens to have been irresponsible with their credit, we can help our clients reestablish their credit history through our credit enhancement program to initiate debt reduction and savings development plans to achieve goals of business Ownership and Home Ownership.
The goal is to help our clients obtain a credit score of 700-750 and using the knowledge gained through our courses to maintain their credit scores throughout the entirety of their lives. Clients who meet this level of achievement will receive for their diligence the lowest interest rates on credit cards, personal loans, business loans and home loans. Lower interest rates will give them an advantage of keeping their payments reasonable in the hardest economic times and provide security to their families for the long haul.
At the Childrey Deliverance Foundation, we’ve learned that it’s only through providing an answer to failed socio-economic conditions in our local community and beyond through the means of Education, Job Skills Training, Financial Literacy anchored and coupled in faith-based approach to Family Counseling and Adult Mentoring can we change a community in economic turmoil.
