Naadiya is a serial social entrepreneur by passion, a civil engineer by training, and is Co-Founder & CEO at WomEng, an international non-profit organisation that is developing the next generation of female engineering leaders in Africa. She holds a BSc Civil Engineering and MSc Engineering degrees. Naadiya is a Director at Pegasys, a development consultancy firm focusing on natural resources management, as well as public transport, climate change, water resources and infrastructure financing. She is a board director for the International Youth Foundation, based in Baltimore which provides skills building, leadership & entrepreneurship training for youth globally, and an African Regional Board member for Frost & Sullivan Growth Innovation Leadership Institute. Naadiya is a YouthActionNet global leadership fellow & an African Leadership Network Fellow. Naadiya has a variety of experiences from technical engineering to NGO development and management consulting. She is a dynamic leader having founded and grown WomEng into the top NGO in South Africa (awarded in 2013), while maintaining various consulting & engineering positions. WomEng addresses the critical skills gap in engineering and provides skill building and development workshops for high school and university students and has a thought leadership platform for the engineering industry. WomEng is currently working across South Africa, Kenya with aspirations to replicate programs across the African continent and the globe. Naadiya has recently launched 2 new ventures, JourneyMap, a people development consultancy which provides corporate clients with talent management, up-skilling, graduate & executive leadership coaching, mentoring and development programs and NaadiyaM, a fashion house designing, manufacturing and retailing evening wear. She has won numerous awards including Most Influential Woman of the Year, Frost & Sullivan Visionary Leadership Award and Top 100 Brightest Young Minds in South Africa, She is passionate about fostering growth & prosperity in Africa, developing & mentoring the next generation of youth leaders and engineering better societies.
