Peter’s Personal Biodata Peter Heri – is a Young Researcher fresh from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), currently Mr. Peter is doing internship at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). Mr Peter is currently conducting Research on Comparative Biology of Cassava Brown Streak Virus and Strain in Tanzania Cassava Varieties at IITA. Mr. Peter has conducted Research Project on tomato-Tanya Variety at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) under the title “Comparative Effects of Poultry Manure and NPK Fertilizer to Tomato Var. Tanya” and he is now planning to publish this paper. Mr. Peter is expecting to graduate B.Sc. Agronomy November 2013 (SUA). He also holds Certificate of Recognition from Youth of United Nations Association of Tanzania (YUNA) as active member of UN CLUB at Songea Boys Secondary School (2008-2010). Again Mr. peter holds Certificate of Appreciation for successful field work training and data collection from International Centre For Eye Care Education (ICEE) for Rapid Assessment of Refractive Error (RARE) Research Study conducted in Kahama District-Tanzania. He also holds Certificate of Attendance of Academic Workshop conducted at SUA under University Pentecostal Fellowship where principal subjects covered included Career development, The power of social Network and Entrepreneurship Development, Job searching and Interview Techniques, Academic Excellence and Time Managements. Mr. Peter also holds Certificates of Completion of course in HIV/AIDS and life skills at Songea Boys Secondary school and his active membership in the peer education group Sauti ya Vijana. He holds Leadership Certificate; he has been the Chairperson of the Family of Africa at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) from 2010 -2013 and awarded Certificate of Appreciation. Mr. Peter is competent in Computer Software including GenStat and in practical applications of MS-Excel programs and Mr. Peter’s research interests are: Soil Fertility and Nutrient Dynamics in soils and their uptake by plants and crop response for potential yield turnout, Soil Conservation measures in Agro-ecological gradients of sub-humid and humid mountainous areas, Chemistry and fates of soil amendments, and Conservation farming. Mr. Peter is now on training of entrepreneurship at SUA and is now have a dream of owning a big agricultural company in Tanzania and his thirsty is to create more employments to youth of this world particularly Tanzania who are facing now with challenge of lack of employments after studies and Mr Peter focus on fostering agricultural production in the country for poverty alleviation and social economic development of the country.
