I growth up in the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia. A beautiful valley that has been drastically affected by the rapid urban growth and environmental pollution. Since childhood I have been interested in the conservation of nature and biodiversity, as well as the solution to poverty in my country. My father worked for many years for international organizations in sustainable development projects, so I had the opportunity to travel around the rural areas of my country and known the impact that poverty is having on populations.
My parents always encouraged me to seek solutions to these problems. Because my family could not afford my university studies, I gave the best of me in the school, in order to get a scholarship to study abroad. Fortunately I won a scholarship to study at Zamorano, a university of high recognition in agriculture and development projects in rural areas. I decided to go to the department of environment and socioeconomic development, where I had the opportunity to meet the rural area of Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador; where there is high poverty.
Seeing all these problems I decided to act and begin to develop projects, starting with the solution of environmental problems in my city.
