Shivani Siroya is currently the CEO and Founder of InVenture. InVenture provides simple money management and credit scoring tools through mobile phones for offline and unbanked individuals. InVenture has been recognized by USAID, Economist, Vodafone, Bloomberg, TechCrunch and NextBillion. Shivani has a wide array of professional experiences in global health, microfinance, and investment banking. Prior to InVenture she worked health costing at UNFPA and Mergers & Acquisitions at Health Net and Citigroup. She is a 2013 TED Fellow, 2011 Echoing Green Fellow and 2011 Unreasonable Institute Fellow. She is also a blogger for the Huffington Post, and on the board the LA Chapter of Young Women Social Entrepreneurs. Shivani holds a M.P.H in Health Economics and International Policy from Columbia University and a B.A. in International Relations from Wesleyan University.

Despite access to micro-credit for years, rural micro-entrepreneurs are not getting out of the cycle of debt or poverty on account of small loan sizes, higher interest rates and shorter repayment tenures for borrowers. To equip financial institutions manage the default and enable them to lend on terms more favorable to micro-entrepreneurs, Shivani is building real-time credit scores for borrowers.

InVenture is a micro venture capital fund that empowers businesses to lift their communities out of poverty. InVenture connects developing businesses with the capital & training they to need to grow risk-free. Once these business begin turning a profit, a portion of that profit is reinvested into communities, into social initiatives aimed at solving the root causes of global poverty.
