Myself being from a farming family, I noticed from childhood that my parents were not able to afford for my basic requirements of education and health. Apart from that it was very hard to get enough food to feed my family. When I grew , I found out majority of farming families have the same problem. Those who work for 18 hrs a day continuously are not even able to grow enough food for their family. Majority of rural families with farming occupation are always under poverty line. The life is very miserable. Being a scholar of Mass Communication, I thought its my responsibility to work to address the problems of farming families like mine. During my preliminary research I found out that lack of information and knowledge is the main hindrance . Regarding this fact, I have been continuously working to inform and empower those rural farming communities by disseminating information regarding agriculture through the magazine " Krishak ra Prabidhi". Apart from this I have been actively organizing networking programs between farmers, technicians and policy makers for knowledge sharing to enhance their knowledge base through "Krishi Club". Acquiring more information and knowledge regarding farming technique will help to create green entrepreneurship which subsequently helps to generate more income and address their food security as well as nutrition problem.
