The Changemaker Team wants YOUR insights on the Changemaker Challenge product – how might we re-imagine Challenges for the future? How do we keep Challenges relevant for our current times and audiences? What will sourcing social change ideas look like in 2050? We want to hear your thoughts!
About the Challenge
We're hoping to source emerging ideas and technologies to re-imagine the Challenge product for the future–driving change that isn't just incremental, building a Challenge that continues to be relevant and impactful for the next 25 years. We want big ideas and blue sky thinking!
What to consider when mapping out your solution:
🖥️ Technology, Tools, & Infrastructure – What tech solutions that are currently available and we could leverage to evolve the Challenge?
📑 Design – What new or different ways can we source, select, and engage? Or even completely redesign what Challenges are?
💡 Learning – What innovations around the insight collection & synthesis (Knowledge work innovations) can we implement?
Eligibility
- Participant Age
Participants must be individuals above the age of 18 at the time of applying.
- Team/Affiliation
Participants must have some professional relationship with Ashoka. This can include team with close relations with Ashoka Changemakers, or individuals who have participated in the Challenge product, either delivering or applying.
- Multiple Submissions
Participants may submit multiple ideas, but each of your ideas must be in the "Idea" stage, and must be meaningfully different from each other.
- Challenge focus
It has to be an innovation related to the Challenge Product evolution.
Evaluation Criteria
- Innovation
Leading entries have an original, ground-breaking idea, which might involve inventing something new, or applying existing approaches in new ways or to a new context. We are especially excited for big ideas that will be fun for those who apply to our Challenges.
- Inspiration
Leading entries demonstrate a clear inspiration or does it have a robust set of references. They communicate a pathway to implementing the idea.
- Impact
Leading entries can communicate or imply large scale impact for the Changemaker Challenge product.
Prizes
We will select three winning ideas that best fit the following categories as winners:
🪁 Most Creative – The idea that is most unexpected or outside-the-box.
📈 Most Powerful – The idea that could provide the biggest impact.
🤾🏽♂️ Most Fun – The idea that is that would make Challenges more fun for Managers or applicants.
