Project title
Dance to our future
Project Summary: Describe your project in one sentence
I project to start a cultural movement for youth that is youth lead and collaborative with the community. Adults create and organize without asking what the youth are interested in and what we need. I plan to create a real circle that’s not disguised by a hierarchy. There are so many political things that get into organizers way and it makes it hard for any real connections to happen. I want to create something that youth feel like they can take a breathe be comfortable and learn together.

Project Stage
Idea (We’re hoping to get started in the future)
Founding Story: What was the spark that led you to start your project? What was the "Aha!" moment that led you to get started and see the potential for this to succeed?
I have been a part of a native education program for years and I have failed to ever make one single friend in that group. For years I have been attending just sitting with my own family separately and never making any connections. This is over 8 years ! Why is that ? Well there’s a lot of parents leading the discussion and planning the events and they never ask us what we want to do. They never get along themselves to let alone us children to connect
The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve? Why does it matter to you and your community?
We need a real place where we teens and youth can eat the foods and learn the things we are interested in we can curate our own schedule of arts and crafts and activities and even cooking classes
Your Solution: How are you solving this problem? Share your specific solution.
I would have a youth council the first ever for our native Ed program

I’m already the Adams 12 student ambassador and a well known arts and crafts student and a leader in dance and fashion design as well as entrepreneurship and music and sports
