Pilot-Stage (We’ve tried an activity or two)
Founding Story: What was the spark that led you to start your project? What was the "Aha!" moment that led you to get started and see the potential for this to succeed?
I come from a backgrounder where my mother was a farmer and during one of her harvests she said inflation was undermining her returns from farming so I did a little research and realized why not make a platform where famers could trade in a currency that appreciated and stayed ahead of inflation .That is how ran into silver and the cryptocurrency USDT.I hope to get a stage so I could assist in easing 4he burden of many famers in Africa and around the world and ensure food security for we cannot eat money.I am getting old I hooe you give me a platform to ensure food safety in the world
The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve? Why does it matter to you and your community?
I am helping solve the problem with food security and rising cost of inflation undermining agricultural processes due to rise in farm input products prices and massive declines in gains. Famers in semi arid areas no longer afford to farm dye to burden of irrigation costs and they used to afford it .I am also h2lping famers learn different investment investment methods to ensure food security throughout Africa while bringing potential customers close to the farmers .
Your Solution: How are you solving this problem? Share your specific solution.
My team and I are working on a platform that allows famers to trade in silver and USDT tokens which are one free from inflation and are actively undervalued and have great capacity to become the future of technology and innovation hence putting farmers in the run for technological advancement and innovation. The platform is meant to allow farmers to sell their goods backed by tangible assets and not paper money. Our plan is to acquire solid silver at a market cap of one million Kenyan shillings which will be stored at the Central bank of Kenya while the platform will hold tokens directly proportional to the solid silver ensuring accurate transactions and not paper money holdings. The platform will allow farmers to access buyers who will be able to buy our silver tokens and use them to purchase farmers goods. We are currently mainly targeting small farmers in rural areas where their good are at risk of being undervalued. The platform is going ro be linked with the Safaricom mpesa wallet allowing easy access of farmer money and easy access of buyers towards our tokens. We have already scheduled government meetings and petitioned the president to allow streamline operations in our innovation. Currently we are very optimistic and hope you get to give us a stage to showcase our innovations
Impact: How has your project created impact / made a difference so far? Or, if at an early stage, what will impact look like?
So far we have mainly been able to raise awareness and gotten famers feo Kajiado Kenya to make a shift mentally and the only obstacle we face is lack of capitation
Your Innovation: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there? How is your project new or innovative?
This project is the first of its kind while its arguable that other online agricultural trading firms do exist we are a first generation industry that is going to use silver and USDT tokens in its exchange
How many people are on your team?
2
Your team: What role(s) do your team members play? How do you share leadership with them?
Currently its a two man show with my co founder Derrick Ndiema as the chief software development officer and me as the assistant software development officer and current managing director
What’s Next: What are the next steps you plan to take to grow or strengthen your project over the next year? If your project is still in the idea stage, describe the steps you will take over the next three months to launch or begin developing it.
We plan on improving awareness on our product through out the country and looking for investors ready to push forward our innovation. The roadmap for the next three months is set on finalizing development of the software platform and having acquired enough silver solid backing stored in the CBK while ensuring we offer accessible and worthy service to the backbone of the planet
How do you encourage other people to join your project or learn about the problem you’re working on? If you have a new idea, tell us how you will do this in the future.
By mainly sensitizing them on the current state of the country and ensuring they understand that this is a key development towards establishing food security
