Founding Story: What was the spark that led you to start your project? What was the "Aha!" moment that led you to get started and see the potential for this to succeed?
One day, I was sitting and thinking about why international schools can cost so much more than private or public schools. Then I remembered somebody saying, " You don't pay for different subjects; you pay for the connections and opportunities it opens up for your children." I started wondering, why should those connections and opportunities only be available to students who can afford to go to certain schools? That was the moment the idea for Innovatex came to me. I thought, what if we could bring those same opportunities to students from different backgrounds by giving them a chance to meet entrepreneurs, innovators, and other people who could inspire and guide them?
How do you encourage other people to join your project or learn about the problem you’re working on? If you have a new idea, tell us how you will do this in the future.
Once approved by our school, we will engage students through presentations, announcements, social media, and recruitment. We want students to see Innovatex as more than a club; it is a space to meet entrepreneurs, develop ideas, work on real projects, and discover opportunities beyond the classroom. We will also introduce Innovatex Ambassadors who can represent the club, spread awareness, encourage other students to join, and help us reach students beyond our immediate network. Members will also be encouraged to bring their friends and collaborate with people who have different skills and interests. As we grow, we plan to use partnerships, events, and our ambassadors to reach other schools. We will eventually pitch Innovatex to other schools and build a wider network where students can connect, collaborate, and create opportunities together.

Impact: How has your project created impact / made a difference so far? Or, if at an early stage, what will impact look like?
Innovatex is still in its early stages, so we are currently focused on building the foundation for an initiative that can grow and reach many students. What makes Innovatex different is that we are not trying to create another club where students simply attend talks and listen to successful people. By connecting students directly with entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, and real-world opportunities, we are giving them both exposure and practical support. We also believe the model can grow because students bring different skills and interests. When they work together, one student’s strength can complement another’s, creating projects that they may not have been able to build alone. Our outreach programs will then allow students to use those skills to create an impact beyond the school. As we grow, we will measure our impact through the number of students reached, entrepreneurs and mentors involved, opportunities shared, ideas developed, projects completed, and students who go on to participate in external programs, competitions, or start initiatives of their own. Ultimately, we want to see students who once felt limited by their grades or abilities discover something they are good at, make meaningful connections, and realize that they have more possibilities than they thought.

The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve? Why does it matter to you and your community?
"Why do I feel like a failure?" This is a statement I've heard so many times from people just because of getting bad grades. So it got me thinking about how many students lose hope when they realize they aren’t the best academically or in sports. School can make it feel like your grades or athletic ability determine your success in life. If you don’t excel in either, it can be easy to feel like you don’t really have anything to offer. There are so many different ways people can succeed, from entrepreneurship and technology to creativity, leadership, business, and social impact. The problem is that many students simply aren’t exposed to these possibilities early enough. They may never meet an entrepreneur, hear how someone built a business from scratch, or find out about an opportunity that could completely change their perspective. That’s what I want Innovatex to help change. I want students to see that their grades or talents in one area don’t have to define their entire future. Sometimes, what someone needs is exposure, a connection, or someone who believes in their idea.

What’s Next: What are the next steps you plan to take to grow or strengthen your project over the next year? If your project is still in the idea stage, describe the steps you will take over the next three months to launch or begin developing it.
I have completed most of the planning and documentation for Innovatex and have also developed an app to support the club and its members. Our next step is to pitch Innovatex to our school, receive approval, and officially launch. Once approved, we will recruit members and establish the student leadership team, assigning roles across projects, events, marketing, partnerships, finance, and technology. We will then begin regular learning sessions, followed by workshops, guest-speaker sessions, networking events, and real student-led projects. Over the next year, we plan to build partnerships with entrepreneurs, innovators, and organizations, expand our external opportunities, and begin community outreach programs. Once established in our school, we will pitch Innovatex to other schools and work towards expanding the club into a wider student network, making these opportunities accessible to more students.
Your Innovation: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there? How is your project new or innovative?
What makes Innovatex different is that we go beyond simply teaching students about entrepreneurship or inviting speakers to talk to them. We give students the opportunity to create and work on real projects, with the full support of the Innovatex team from developing an idea to turning it into something tangible. We also focus on external exposure. Students can connect with entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, and organizations, while discovering competitions, conferences, internships, and other real-world opportunities that they may not normally have access to. Unlike programs that focus on one specific activity, Innovatex gives students room to develop across business, innovation, leadership, creativity, networking, and problem-solving. Students can explore different areas, discover their strengths, and work with others who have different skills. Most importantly, students are not just learning; they are doing. They can bring their own ideas, build projects, gain experience, make connections, and use what they learn to create opportunities for themselves and others.
Your Solution: How are you solving this problem? Share your specific solution.
First, we connect students with entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals, and mentors through guest talks, networking sessions, workshops, and other events. Instead of only learning about entrepreneurship from a textbook, students get to hear directly from people who are actually building businesses, solving problems, and creating change. We also give students opportunities to develop their own ideas. Members can submit ideas through our platform, where they can be reviewed by student leaders and developed into projects. Students can then form teams, work together, receive guidance, and turn those ideas into something tangible. We share relevant competitions, conferences, internships, programs, and other opportunities that students may not otherwise hear about. Most importantly, Innovatex is open to students with different strengths and interests. You do not have to be the top student in your class or the best athlete to contribute. Someone might have a business idea, another person might be good at design, someone else might be a great speaker, and another might simply have a passion for solving problems. We also want our impact to go beyond our members. Through outreach programs and community initiatives, we plan to give back by using the skills, ideas, and resources within Innovatex to support people and communities around us. This allows students not only to build for themselves, but also to use what they learn to help others.
Your team: What role(s) do your team members play? How do you share leadership with them?
Our team currently has two founders: the Founder/President, who leads strategy and partnerships, and the Co-Founder/Vice President, who supports leadership and operations. As we grow, we plan to add a Projects Lead (student projects), Events Lead (events/workshops), Marketing Lead (branding/outreach), Finance Lead (budgeting), Partnerships Lead (external connections), and Technology Lead (digital platform). Each lead will manage their area while collaborating on major decisions.
